Nisa-Today's has recruited Londis retail development manager Rob Buckley as a store development manager to drive the continued growth of its retail fascia scheme.
Reporting to commercial director John Heagney, Buckley will be based in Newport Pagnell and will cover the south of England and Northern Ireland.
One of two store development managers, Buckley will help design and plan retail food stores from concept to completion as well as converting existing stores.
He will focus on the roll-out of the Metro, Local and Extra fascias as part of the strategy to unite the Nisa retail and Today's wholesale operations under one corporate brand (The Grocer, June 14, p37).
Buckley will work to ensure efficient transformation of stores and will also advise retailers on instore layout.
He spent 11 years at Londis in development and EpoS roles, and was retail development manager there for five years.
"With the rollout of the new Nisa-Today's branding, I have joined the company at a very exciting time," he said. "It offers me a new challenge and the opportunity to be involved from the outset."
