Londis has promoted Matthew Spencer, 27, to the post of national retail development controller. Spencer (pictured above right) joined Londis last year from Sainsbury where he had worked on merchandising for 10 years. He takes charge of 34 merchandisers, divided into 10 retail development teams covering England, Wales and Scotland. His remit is to provide solutions to help retailers drive up store standards. Spencer said: "When our teams leave following a refit, we must ensure retailers are capable of maintaining and even improving standards we have established. "Our training programme gives them access to all the basic guidelines and principles which we recommend for building instore displays." {{PEOPLE MOVES }}
