Consumer demand has turned one of Wolverhampton and Dudley's limited edition brews into a permanent fixture. Marston's Double Drop has won long-term listings in Sainsbury, Tesco, Safeway, Morrisons and the Co-op. Major success came when it was Sainsbury's beer of the month in May. Then, with the help of price promotions and gondola ends, it was selling 2,000 cases a week. The brand was launched in April and, as a result of the multiples' interest, sales exceeded all the company's forecasts and marketing manager Adrian Willis said the beer had become the seventh best selling bottled beer brand in the country. He is hoping the success can be repeated with the next beer in the series, New Fangled, which is about to be launched. {{DRINKS }}
