The first independently owned store trading under the new Budgens Local fascia will be officially launched on Tuesday. The 2,200 sq ft store at Douglas Road, Aylesbury, has been converted to the Budgens offer, with a quadrupling of chilled space and the introduction of Budgens own label. Since Budgens began deliveries it claims turnover at the store has increased 40%. The store is owned by Barry Sugrue, former operations director of Alldays RDC Beds and Bucks Convenience Stores. He owns a second store in Milton Keynes which will also convert to the Budgens Local fascia. {{NEWS }}
