Former Asda boss Andy Bond has added online grocery retailer Farmison.com to his burgeoning investment portfolio.
The Yorkshire-based website supplies produce from more than 75 British farms direct to consumers. It is run by former restaurateur John Pallagi and former marketing executive Lee Simmonds.
“We are excited to be offering consumers an unbeatable choice of rare and superior British produce,” Simmonds told the Yorkshire Post.
“We have harnessed the traditionally exclusive restaurant supply chain, championing independent UK farmers and producers to provide passionate foodies with a huge range of fantastic products.”
Bond has invested in a number of companies since leaving Asda, including forecourt retailer Euro Garages and online cycling retailer Wiggle.
