Anna Fradgley has become marketing manager for meat and poultry at the Co-operative Group.
Fradgley's responsibilities will include strategic development of the product range as well as marketing and promoting the sector.
She has held marketing positions and was previously an account director for Momentum, working on the Meat and Livestock Commission account. She also worked as a dairy product marketing manager for Co-operative Retail Services before its merger with the Co-operative Retail Society in 2000.
Fradgley said: "I will be aiming to provide for customers with busy lifestyles wanting quality and convenient meal solutions."
She will report to the society's head of fresh meat and poultry, Garry Cronie, who said: "We are delighted to have appointed Anna, who has extensive marketing and advertising experience. She is already proving to be a valuable member of the team."
