A growing network of franchises has helped Bargain Booze increase sales and profits, according to its latest set of accounts.

Turnover grew 4.1% to £371.2m in the 12 months to 30 April 2010, while pre-tax profits enjoyed a steeper rise, more than trebling to £4.3m.

“The group has implemented a strategy that will continue to focus on developing the network,” the directors said.

Mark Crabtree, commercial director, said Bargain Booze was ahead of this year’s franchise recruitment target.
