Stuart Rose, chief executive of Marks & Spencer, was under scrutiny by the Financial Services Authority (FSA) yesterday.

The FSA interviews were set up to investigate Rose’s share dealings in Marks & Spencer.

Speculation is also rising that Philip Green will place another bid for the company, according to newspaper reports. However, reports also note that Green has indicated he will abandon proposals to take over Marks & Spencer by the end of July unless he can conduct satisfactory discussions with shareholders.
