Gallagher, who will also join One Stop’s board, takes up his new role later this month, replacing Jamie Walker.
Gallagher has worked with One Stop since 1982 when he joined the company as a buyer.
Since then he has held a number of positions, including buying controller, director of buyers and most latterly as trading director, with responsibility for all areas
of trading and delivering the customer plan.
Gallagher said: “I’m looking forward to the challenges ahead and hope my appointment just shows how One Stop invests in people and helps bring them up through the business.”
David Turner, chief executive of One Stop, added: “Pete will be an asset to the One Stop board. He has already developed and led a much more customer- focused approach within the commercial teams.”
