Bestway has opened its 50th cash and carry - and its biggest to date - in Enfield, North London.

The cash and carry operator, which has a turnover of £1.7bn, unveiled the £6m, 90,000 sq ft flagship depot last week - three weeks ahead of schedule.

"We are continuing to invest in state-of-the-art

facilities," said Bestway MD Younus Sheikh. "We have been able to create what we believe to be the ideal shopping environment, with wide aisles and more space at checkouts."

The new depot stocks a full grocery range including

a wide choice of fresh and frozen food.
