Hancocks Cash and Carry is to open a purpose-built 15,000 sq ft depot in Watford as it pursues aggressive expansion in the south east of England.
The site is in Colonial Way in Watford, close to depots owned by Dhamecha and Booker, and opens in early March.
CEO Andrew Hancock said: “We know we have lacked a presence in the south east and have been keen to make a start on rectifying this situation.”
Hancocks aims to identify three further sites in Kent, Essex and Berkshire in the coming year and is considering other areas of the UK. Including Watford, the company has 16 sites, mainly in the Midlands and the north of England.
