Costcutter has appointed Andrew Hargrave to join its commercial team as trading manager. He joins two other trading managers on the buying team and replaces Robin Hemingway, who has moved to another section of Costcutter.
Hargrave will be responsible for frozen food, milk, health and beauty, household, non-food, pet food, condiments and preserves, sugar and services.
He has joined Costcutter from Billy Boy Frozen Foods, a wholesaler of frozen foods for the catering market. He had worked in variety of roles there, including stock control and depot management, over a period of 10 years.
For the past four and a half years he was the buyer for all products sold by the company.
Hargrave said of his appointment to the Costcutter team: “I have lots of categories to get my head around. But I am very much looking forward to getting on with the job here.”
