With a total pay package of £864,000 this year, Morrisons joint MD Marie Melnyk is the second highest paid woman in a FTSE 100 company, according to a new survey by The Guardian.
However, her remuneration package pales into insignificance behind top supermarket earners David Reid at £8.6m and Sir Terry Leahy at £4.3m, the Tesco chairman and chief executive respectively.
