Thorpe will be involved in new product development. She will also be responsible for maintaining the quality of all own label products and the development of on-pack consumer information.
Thorpe joins from Sainsbury, where she worked in marketing planning. She joined the multiple in 1997 as quality control home economist.
The technical services team
reports to the marketing department. Marketing director Stephanie Rice said: “Suzanne is our first full-time in-house home economist. She has expertise in marketing and quality control.”
