The IGD is urging food and supply chain companies large and small to enter its Food Industry Awards for 2002. Four of the awards recognise excellence across business functions. The Ian MacLaurin award for supply chain excellence, the John Sainsbury 1990 award for staff training and development, the Nestlé award for social commitment, and the Tetra Pak packaging design award. There is also a Sir Alistair Grant award for outstanding small businesses, and a Tate & Lyle young managers' business challenge. A Unilever award will be presented to the company which delivers the most innovative and consumer friendly business solution. The closing date for entries to the awards is Friday August 2. {{NEWS }}
