King Sainsbury's chief executive Justin King has been appointed as non-executive director to the board of US company Staples. The company claims to be the world's largest office products provider with businesses in 22 countries throughout North and South America, Europe and Asia.
New CEO for Nestlé
Paul Bulcke will replace Peter Brabeck-Letmathe as chief executive officer of Nestlé. Bulcke, who is currently head of zone Americas at the food giant, will officially take up the CEO role in April next year. Brabeck-Letmathe will remain at the company as non-executive chairman.
Walsh joins Riviera
Kerrie Walsh has joined Riviera Desserts, the desserts division of Uniq, as the account director for Asda. Walsh, who got her role through recruitment company Capitis Partners, has joined from Greencore Frozen Foods where she led the accounts for Morrisons, Asda and Waitrose.

Tesco has created a new role to support its local sourcing initiative. Philippa Anderson has been appointed marketing manager for the south east regional office to assist existing local suppliers and potential suppliers of Tesco. She will be responsible for ensuring stores support local suppliers and merchandise products prominently. Anderson was previously head of RHM's foodservice customer marketing team.
Unilever has announced that Jean-Cyril Spinetta has stepped down as a non-executive director after 17 months in the role. Spinetta, who is also chairman and chief executive of Air France and KLM airlines, is said to have left for personal reasons.
