and has appointed former United Co-op and Asda employee Paul Griffiths as group managing director.
For the year to April 30 pre-tax profit increased to £2.96m from £2.69m in 2002, while turnover climbed 11% t to £51.4m from £46m.
Inter Link said organic sales growth was 6% and lower than anticipated due to “a delay in several product launches”.
Griffiths is to join Inter Link on September 1 and will take control of its manufacturing and distribution businesses.
Inter Link said the move allows chief executive Alwin Thompson to focus on “the strategic development of the group, acquisitions and the expansion of the branded and licensed sectors of the cake market”.
Chairman Jeremy Hamer said: “Alongside our prescriptive search for acquisitions, our sales, marketing and innovation teams are continuously engaged in broadening our customer base and in the breadth of our product product offering with each customer.”
