Nisa-Today's is introducing new technology to improve communications with its smaller suppliers.
Software from Kewill Solutions Europe, being rolled out to 300 of Nisa-Today's small and medium-sized suppliers, will give access to electronic trading through a simple web browser.
Nisa-Today's said the move would help it enhance its supply chain and improve purchasing power. It meant 75% of its suppliers would be using electronic trading.
"This supports our overall drive to enhance supply chain efficiency by eliminating manual errors and streamlining our processes," said Nisa-Today's IT director Wayne Swallows. "The system will reduce administrative costs and increase visibility, while enhancing the relationship with our small to medium suppliers, allowing us to react quickly to changes in the market."
