Sainsbury has rejected claims from its outgoing head of IT services that her department had been made a scapegoat for the retailer’s supply chain problems.
Maggie Miller told a computing trade magazine that Sainsbury had not made any changes to its systems because none was needed.
Dismissing Miller’s claims, a spokeswoman for Sainsbury said plans had been put in place to simplify the main internal, system, slow down the roll-out of new IT platforms and re-negotiate its contract with main IT partner Accenture.
