Sainsbury's has updated its reward card scheme with a raft of new special offers in response to Tesco taking over its Air Miles contract. Sainsbury's has teamed up with companies such as bmi British Midland and Virgin Atlantic for the scheme. Special introductory offers include 40,000 half-price bmi British Midland flights on a first-come-first-served basis. Standard reward card deals will include bmi british Midland flights across Europe and Virgin transatlantic flights, cinema tickets and discounts off holidays. Other offers include money-off meals at Bella Pasta and Café Rouge. Sainsbury's customer marketing director Stephen Vowles said: "As soon as a customer has earned enough reward points they are offered their reward voucher at the till point. This can then be exchanged at the customer service desk for flight vouchers or redeemed direct at some outlets such as Lunn Poly or Odeon cinemas." He explained: "Our previous offers needed updating as the changes Air Miles had made to their scheme had weakened it, and the number of Reward Card customers taking up the offer had reduced." {{NEWS }}
