"I believe it was Oscar Wilde who said that rumours of his death had been greatly exaggerated," Justin King smugly told reporters at Sainsbury's last week in response to a question about our 'Death of the bogof?' article. It turns out the bogof was merely sleeping, as the supermarket launched a volley of new offers last week. It was of course Mark Twain to whom King should have ascribed his bon mot. Never mind. To quote Wilde, "wit is just educated insolence," anyway. Or was that Aristotle?
