Anheuser-Busch Europe has promoted Steve Lawton to the position of national account controller for the specialist and convenience sector.
He replaces Gary Corney, who has taken up a position with Scottish Brewers.
In his new role, Lawton will be heading a team of national account managers whose task is to develop business with all the specialist alcohol stores and convenience chains in the UK.
Lawton joined Anheuser-Busch Europe in 1999. Previously, he worked for Bass and has experience in both the on and off-trade.
Lawton has been the national account manager for Tesco for the past two years.
He has won the company’s Sales Account Handler of the Year award twice in the past three years.
