Leeds Co-operatives’ full-year net profit to January 14 rose 17% to £1,676,000 on sales up 1.45% to £76.1m.

The group added that sales in its food division had increased 3.17% during the period to £37,422,000.

Alan Gill, chief executive of Leeds Co-operative, said: “Over the past five years we have seen the society getting stronger in terms of its financial performance and its involvement with members.”
