The Soil Association is to add more criteria for judging the "organic supermarket of the year" category of its annual Organic Food Awards after it failed to find an outright winner this time. Waitrose, Tesco and Sainsbury were all highly commended this year after the NOP poll found little to choose between the three. A Soil Association spokesman said: "The results were so close it was impossible to call. Next year the criteria will be more specific including such things as support for British organic producers, the relationship they have in terms of payment to producers and the role in developing the sector." {{NEWS }}
