Londis has topped the 100 store mark in Scotland less than 18 months after launching north of the border. Sales director Terry Bedford said the group had recruited 104 members and another 26 applications were currently being processed by credit control. Bedford said 57 sites in Scotland had been refitted, at a cost of £1.3m, including three which had taken the group's latest Genesis package. "The average turnover rise after a refit in our Scottish stores is 20%, but our Genesis stores show rises on average of 40%. "This reflects both the higher level of capital expenditure invested in the Genesis refit and the radical change in the store afterwards." He said five more Scottish stores would take the Genesis refit in the next six months,: two in Ayrshire, one in Fife and two in Glasgow. {{NEWS }}
