Londis has recruited 110 new retailers since April, despite the fact they will not receive the cash injection longer-standing members will get from new owner Musgrave.
The new recruits, which will boost Londis’ wholesale turnover by £20m, joined “with a view to a long-term relationship with our group and weren’t just looking to make a quick buck,” said Musgrave UK executive chairman Eoin McGettigan.
Londis has paid out more than £2m in overrider discounts to members since February 1.
