Anheuser-Busch InBev has named Stuart MacFarlane as the new president of its UK and Ireland business in the wake of last year’s landmark merger between the brewing giants.
MacFarlane is currently president of InBev UK, which combined with Budweiser maker Anheuser Busch last November.
The company, owner of brands including Stella Artois and Budweiser, has also announced the departure of David Dryden, who had headed up Anheuser-Busch’s UK operations since 2006.
MacFarlane said he was delighted to take up the lead role but added that he would miss Dryden’s industry experience.
“David has been an invaluable contributor to the success of the Budweiser brand and has exhibited exceptional leadership through the transition and integration of our businesses,” said MacFarlane.
“I have got to know him well over the past five months and will miss his incredible knowledge and wisdom.”
