Makro has teamed up with Motor Solutions to sell cars sourced direct from domestic and overseas manufacturers.
The new car sales service will offer manufacturers' warranties and wholesale discounts on servicing and repairs. Vehicles can be ordered online or through a call centre, while finance with rates starting at 7.9% APR is available through Motor Solutions.
Makro divisional manager Ian Evans said an earlier venture to sell a selection of cars and vans from depots had proved so successful it had decided to bid for a bigger slice of the market.
"Cars will be imported from Europe or purchased in bulk direct from manufacturers to keep prices down. Vehicles can be ordered to a specific spec and delivered direct to customers' doors."
Makro opened its 29th depot in Norwich this month, featuring new bakery, fresh fish and fresh produce departments.
