Marks & Spencer’s creative director of clothing, Yasmin Yusuf, has resigned, just three years after she was poached from rival Warehouse, according to The Times today.

Her resignation coincides with a difficult period for the retailer as BHs is planning to reveal its television campaign today to step up the competition between the two clothing retailers.

Marks & Spencer has faced additional pressure recently after Asda knocked it from the top position of Britain’s best-selling clothing retailer last month with its popular George brand.

TNS reported that Asda’s share of the market had jumped from to 9.4% from 7.3% last year, while Marks & Spencer’s position remained static at 9.1%.
