Marks and Spencer is predicted to report a slowdown in sales when it updates the City on trading tomorrow (Tuesday).

Analysts expect M&S to report a 1.3% increase in like-for-like food sales, down from 3% in the previous quarter, according to reports in the Financial Times.

Meanwhile, George Davies, founder of Asda's clothing label George and now head of M&S' Per Una label, is considering leaving the retailer at the end of the year, according to reports in the Sunday Telegraph.
