Musgrave Budgens Londis has appointed Andrew Robertson as network controller.
MBL said that Robertson would bring valuable retail logistics experience to the group, having spent many years developing delivery networks for Safeway, most recently as depot support controller.
In a new role, Robertson will manage the integration of the Budgens and Londis networks to create a single system capable of serving both brands.
The group has also appointed Peter Hutchison to the newly created role of fresh controller.
Hutchison has more than 20 years’ experience in retail logistics, having managed the fresh food operations for Presto, Safeway and Morrisons. He was most recently fresh product supplier controller for Safeway.
Hutchison will work with MBL’s sales and trading teams to develop the fresh food offering across both brands. Both Robertson and Hutchison will report to MBL supply chain director Mark Aylwin.
