Household goods manufacturer McBride has named Unilever veteran Chris Bull as its new chief executive.

Bull, who was previously chief customer officer at Unilever and spent 25 years at the fmcg giant, joins McBride on 4 May.

He takes over the helm from Miles Roberts, whose upcoming move to packaging wholesaler DS Smith was announced in November. Roberts will leave McBride on 30 April.

“[Bull’s] experience in business-to-business customer relationships marketing and a unique mixture of branded and private label will be of enormous benefit to our company,” said McBride chairman Iain Napier.
