Sir Ken Morrison, chairman of the beleaguered supermarket group Morrisons, is starting to feel the strain of the retailers’ recent troubles, media reports suggest.

Reports in the national media suggest that Sir Ken is “in denial” about the company’s problems and has been shouting at staff.

One member of staff was reported as saying that Sir Ken had “screamed at staff” while another said that he had been having “outbursts”.

Last week Morrisons issued its fifth profits warning in less than a year, stating that pre-tax profits could fall within the range of £50m-£150m, well below analysts expectations of £225m-£275m.
