Musgrave SuperValu-Centra has adopted a new voice-picking system at its Northern Ireland HQ in Belfast. Musgrave chose the £750,000 system after tracking the results of a voice-picking operation at the Aberness c-store group in Scotland.
Nigel Briggs, MD at Musgrave SuperValu-Centra, said logistics was at the heart of the company’s success in the province and the new system would improve productivity significantly. “Ultimately, the people who will see the greatest benefit from this new system are our retailers.
“Voice picking will have a big impact on the accuracy of our orders. Once our retailers begin to see this, they will not have to spend as much time checking and spend more time in store doing what they do best, and that’s being a retailer.”
