Peter Brabeck-Letmathe, chairman and chief executive officer of Nestlé, has attacked Ofcom's decision to ban advertising high fat, salt and sugar products to children.

“Here we are talking about prohibiting advertising to children when at the same time we are giving them computer games that lead to violence, which is incredible. And then we are surprised when we have violence in schools,” he said.

In countries where bans were in place, obesity rate were no lower than elsewhere, Brabeck-Letmathe added.
