Hotel Chocolat is launching a range of eight new beauty products containing cocoa next week.
The Cocoajuvenate range contains a super fine emulsion of cocoa that Hotel Chocolate said makes full use of cocoa’s antioxidants, vitamins and minerals.
The upmarket chocolatier said the new range wouldn’t smell of chocolate. Instead, they have been given a scent inspired by the “refreshing tang of a freshly cut cocoa pod”, it said.
“Creating this new range felt like a very natural progression for us,” said Hotel Chocolat CEO Angus Thirlwell.
The company has already developed non-chocolate products including a Revive range of beauty products, wines chosen to complement chocolate and savoury cocoa foods such as cocoa and chili olive oil and cocoa seasoning for red meat.
