Paul Bulcke will replace Peter Brabeck-Letmathe as chief executive officer of Nestlé.

Bulcke, who is currently head of Zone Americas at the food giant, will officially take up the CEO role in April next year. Brabeck-Letmathe will remain at the company as non-executive chairman.

“The Board chose a strong and pragmatic business leader, ideally suited to lead the group in a period that will be marked by a phase of strategic and operational consolidation and a continued broadening of our Nutrition, Health and Wellness business,” said Brabeck-Letmathe.
