Nisa-Today’s plans to boost its business development and merchandising departments as it rolls out its fascia scheme.
It said the new staff would help it recruit retailers and raise standards in existing stores.
Nisa-Today’s now has over 250 retailers trading under the Metro, Local, Extra and Express fascias, launched last year.
It plans to recruit 12 business development managers to tackle member recruitment and store conversions. Ten additional store merchandisers will cover areas such as planning and ranging in stores.
Nisa-Today’s commercial director for retail store development, John Heagney, said: “This recruitment drive is essential to meeting and indeed surpassing the needs of our symbol group members - existing and potential.”
He said the new recruits would ensure a smooth transition to the symbol scheme for new members.
