Nisa-Today’s chief executive Neil Turton has been elected chairman of the Association of Convenience Stores.

Turton – who has been a director of the ACS since 2004 and has chaired the body’s audit committee since 2007 – takes over from Spar UK managing director Jerry Marwood, who has been in the role for two years.

“Jerry has led the organisation with great skill and passion for the past two years,” said Turton. “I am looking forward to the challenge of continuing this excellent work.”
