Nisa-Today's is to hold elections in the autumn for seven new regional committees designed to give members a greater say in the future of the buying group.
Nominations for the Nisa Regional Councils are due in by the end of this month.
Once established, each council will appoint a representative to sit on a new Nisa National Retail Council, an advisory group for the group's main board. "I would strongly urge all members to throw their hats into the ring," said chief executive Neil Turton. "These committees will represent the best opportunity for members to get their views across."
Greater regional representation was first flagged up by members during regional meetings held by Nisa-Today's last November in the wake of the failed Costcutter merger.
