Buying group Nisa-Today's is to donate a proportion of the sales from its Heritage own label range to charity.

As of this week, the logo for Nisa's Making a Difference Locally charity will feature on the packs of its 17-strong Heritage ready meal range to alert shoppers to the tie-up.

From next month it will start rolling it out across the rest of the 1,000-strong range. This will include a new line of hot puddings.

"More money will be donated to local charities and good causes," said John Sharpe, Nisa's MD of central distribution trading and logistics.
