Nisa-Today’s opened a £3.75m purpose-built office block this week to house its growing business.

The buying group moved into the 28,500 sq ft building in Normanby Enterprise Park in Scunthorpe after outgrowing its nearby rented offices.

The complex, named The Member Support Centre in recognition of the group’s member-owned, mutual status, is adjacent to the company’s 625,000 sq ft ambient warehouse which opened in October 2005.

“Not only will the new offices enhance our service for members and save considerable costs, they will also create a better working environment for our staff,” said Neil Turton, chief executive officer.

Nisa-Today’s recently shrugged off the loss of one of its founding members, Booths, which left to concentrate on providing locally sourced food.

In the financial year to date, Nisa-Today’s has recruited members with a combined turnover of more than £61.5m and is undergoing the most extensive recruitment campaign in its history.
