Half of all shoppers would buy food at Aldi and Lidl if there was a store near them, new research from IGD claims.
Aldi has again led the grocery market in terms of growth over the past three months, according to new data from Kantar Worldpanel.
Aldi turned UK operating losses of more than £21m in 2009 into operating profits of £18.7m last year, underlining the continued resurgence of the discounters.
