Online grocery retailer Ocado has entered the organic veg box fray just weeks after Sainsbury's and Tesco announced their schemes.

Ocado is offering its internet shoppers three new organic choices alongside its Waitrose-branded produce: a box with 15 seasonal items for £20.50, a medium box with ten veg at £14 and a 14-item mixed fruit and veg box at £24. They reflect seasonal crops, but some fruit comes from further afield and includes kiwi and grapes.

Head of marketing Neil Jewsbury described the move as an extension of Ocado's existing range.
