The new owner of T&S Stores has made clear its desire to continue developing the One Stop c-store brand - even though half the existing estate is earmarked for conversion to the Tesco Express formula in the next three to four years.

When Tesco completed the acquisition of T&S at the start of the year, plenty was made about the fact the deal would accelerate the rollout of the Express c-store chain.

However, in his first interview since taking over as CEO at T&S, Colin Holmes stressed Tesco had no intention of seeing One Stop’s progress stall. “Tesco is not about standing still. We want to keep the momentum behind everything that was going on.”
