Procter & Gamble chief executive Allan Lafley has reassured investors that sales of products in sectors P&G specialises in  personal care and household products  would hold up in times of economic uncertainty. Speaking at the company's agm, Lafley said P&G was on course to meet earnings forecasts: "We are not changing our goals or our timetable." P&G is to hive off its Jif peanut butter and Crisco cooking oil brands to Ohio based jam maker Smucker to form a company specialising in all American comfort food'. The move is consistent with the group strategy of focusing on a select group of international brands. {{NEWS }}
