Bespoke control

Damien Threadgold has joined Bespoke Foods, suppliers of brands such as La Trousse, Sandre goose fat and Waitrose's Marine Gourmet range, as national account controller. He will be working with commercial director Stuart Ninian to develop Bespoke's growing business within the multiple sector. He was previously partnership business controller at G. Costa.

Smith goes to ABF

Associated British Foods has appointed Peter Smith as an independent non-executive director, with immediate effect. Smith is currently chairman of Savills. ABF has also announced Jeff Harris is retiring as an independent non-executive director and as chairman of the Audit Committee, with effect from 18 April 2007.

Reckitt signs Tyler

Household cleaning product manufacturer, Reckitt Benckiser has appointed David Tyler as an independent non-executive director. Tyler is also a non-executive director of Burberry Group and information and analytical company, Experian Group.

Wild's promotion

David Wild has been named senior vice president of new business development at Wal-Mart. Wild joined Wal-Mart in 2004 as chief merchandising officer for Wal-Mart Germany, and served as CEO of the company's German operations. He has also held various executive positions at Tesco, including supply chain director and CEO of Tesco's Central European operations.

Scanlan retirement

Gerry Scanlan is retiring from the board of Fyffes on 30 April. He has been a non-executive director since January 1995. During his time at the fruit company, Scanlan was involved in Fyffes' expansion and development strategy to help it become a successful tropical produce company.
