Tesco has extended a pilot of electronic point of purchase 'labelling' to a second store.

The retailer has been using ZBD's displays on its counters at a store in Leicester and has now rolled them out to its store in High Wycombe. Prices and promotions at POP can be changed in the back office - or even at head office.

"This has had a major impact on staff productivity and the amount of food thrown away," said Mark Green, head of counters at Tesco, which is considering rolling the terminals out nationally.
