Booker is to launch a revised Premier format at the Convenience Retailing Show which will act as a footprint for store refurbishments.
The design has a bright yellow and purple colour scheme, with Premier branding running over pelmets and bulkheads. The stores will carry about 4,500 products, including new lines such as haberdashery. An instore bakery, and an extended fruit and veg and chilled area, as well as improved lighting, are integral to the format.
The concept has been on trial at a forecourt store in Nuneaton.
Head of Premier Steven Fox said Booker was exhibiting at CRS for the first time to show off the package and recruit new members.
CRS, organised by William Reed, publisher of The Grocer, runs from March 4-6 at the NEC in Birmingham.
