Tesco is to open its first outlet in downtown Taipei later this month, to add to the four stores it already operates in Taiwan.
A Tesco spokeswoman told the Taiwan News that through its ‘We've Got Cheaper’ Tesco was investing NT$75m to support its permanent price reduction strategy for 1,500 lines in Taiwan this year.
Tesco has also rolled out its ‘Tesco Supplier Online Inquiry’ an accounting management and finance consulting capability created by Citibank.
The system would establish an intensive connection between the hypermarket, its suppliers, and Citibank, the paper said.
